Your career with Abylsen

Applicants′ career path

There are several ways of joining Abylsen:

• consult our job vacancies;

• apply for a position. Your CV is then sent to one or more companies in the group, depending to your mobility.

Integration

From the day you join the company, your manager is your primary advisor. They will support your individual progress and help you understand how our clients operate – their requirements and concerns – as well as being the person you turn to for advice on your career path within Abylsen. In fact, they will help you to manage your career through project tracking and annual appraisals.

Developing your skills

When choosing its consultants, Abylsen deliberately gives priority to an “excellent level of expertise”. The added value that you, an Abylsen consultant, bring to the client is above all the result of your technological and business expertise. You have high-level initial training (a “grande école” engineer) and professional experience that enables you to “be an authority” in your chosen field of competence. Joining Abylsen as a consultant opens the way to the significant opportunities for development offered by Group promotion policy. A variety of opportunities arise for all consultants to further their expertise and take on managerial responsibilities. All Abylsen consultants build a customized career path for themselves, based on the diversity of the corporate issues handled, the type of services provided for our clients and the fields of technological expertise covered by Abylsen.

Your career could evolve as follows

Junior consultant

A recent graduate or a graduate with less than three years′ experience, you will join Abylsen as a junior consultant. You will take part in high-level technical studies in areas directly related to your training.

Experienced consultant

Benefitting ideally from five years′ experience, you have proven ability in managing projects involving analysis, design, development and integration. Fully autonomous, you have a global vision of projects and you have developed your commercial and interpersonal skills when working on projects.

Senior consultant

Around ten years of experience have enabled you to acquire significant sectorial or business expertise. Working alongside managers, you act as a tutor for junior consultants. You may also take on project management responsibilities.

Manager of a Centre of Expertise

A graduate from an engineering or management school, you have the qualities required to develop a team of specialized consultants. You are fully responsible for the technical services provided by your centre. You have technical and managerial skills that you use to supervise consultants, support clients, recruit and manage competences. You are the technical manager for Abylsen clients throughout the process, from the design stage to acceptance and you ensure client satisfaction.

Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit? Would you like to build on your technological skills? Are you ambitious?

The fast pace of development at Abylsen has generated a full range of career opportunities.

Business Unit Managers

Consultants may, if they wish, progress to the position of Business Unit Manager. Supported and “coached” by the director, they capitalize on their training (a degree from an engineering or management school) and personality (commercial and leadership qualities) to meet a challenge similar to developing a start-up. Managers who have proven their ability can then move on to become Business Company Directors.

Directors

They are at the head of the company, answerable to shareholders for the results of their division. They fix the objectives of Business Units and coach their managers. They are entrepreneurs, used to innovating and taking risks to develop their company at a fast pace. They are recognized professionals, with perfect knowledge of the economic sectors in which their Business Company is specialized. They are involved in the development of the Abylsen group, which combines a geographical market segmentation and sectorial approach at the level of the main European regions.
